HORSE AND SULKY AND DRIVER
19th Century Weathervane
Handcrafted from a piece of antique heart pine salvaged from a barn located in Bath, NY circa 1890. A pair of antique goat cart wheels are used for the sulky. Cold worked copper and tin is formed to the piece. Salvaged leather straps are used on horse sulky. Red, green, yellow and grey buttermilk paint is applied in numerous layers to give the appearance of a time worn finish. Piece is hallmarked and mounted on a metal museum mount for display.
